The Great Indian Workplaces Awards 2017


We are pleased to announce the Great Indian Workplaces Awards 2017 to recognize extraordinary workplaces in India that create happy employees. The GIWA 2017 has been designed with an inclusive mindset and therefore covers Enterprises, Emerging Enterprises, Fast Growing Enterprises and Successful Startups. Workplaces providing a congenial, caring, safe, enjoyable and trust based culture where employees wish to return back every next working day and take pride in their work, enjoy lower levels of stress, high degree of professional learning, growth driven by visionary leadership would qualify for Great Indian Workplaces (GIWA) Awards. Organizations that have stringent policies towards sexual harassment, a humane approach towards special ability people, gender equality, care for society, people focus (healthcare, fun at workplace, facilities such as food and recreation) are likely to have an edge.

The Award process in divided into five stages:
  • Stage 1: Nomination
  • Stage 2: Fill-up a Questionnaire
  • Stage 3: Roll out of Survey
  • Stage 4 (a): Survey Analysis and Selection of Recognition (Certificates Only) and Awards (Certification + Trophy)
  • Stage 4 (b): Interview Questions to CEOs of Companies who have won to be included in the GIWA Black Book
  • Stage 5: Awards and Recognition during the GIWA 2017 Red Carpet Awards Night


The nominations are open from among the following categories:
  • Mega Enterprises (Turnover >500 Cr)
  • Established Enterprises (Turnover >100 Cr. and <= 500 Cr)
  • Emerging Enterprises (Turnover >10 Cr. and <= 100 Cr)
  • Fast Growing Enterprises (Turnover >5 Cr. and <= 10 Cr)
  • Startups (Turnover >=2 Cr. and <= 5 Cr)
  • Culture Champions (Individuals who will have campaigned for a positive, productive culture within their organization, and worked with employees to develop successful cultural practices).
